National Informatics Centre (NIC), established in 1976 has rich experience in providing ICT and e-Governance support to the Government. It has emerged as a promoter of digital opportunities for sustainable development. NIC spearheaded the usage of Information Technology systems and services for enhancing the productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of social and public administration by facilitating electronic delivery of services to the government (G2G), business (G2B), citizen (G2C) and government employee (G2E). Through the nationwide network across all 37 States/ UTs and 720+ Districts, NIC is steadfast towards the development of smart digital infrastructure for empowering citizen-based services.
Counselling and admission services developed by e-Counselling division, NIC offer a service suite covering end-to-end activities for an automated and streamlined admission process. It allows candidates to proceed with application process in a stepwise manner supported by various inputs like customized institute & course list, FAQs, process guidelines etc. optimizing the chances of getting best possible admission seat. Services are being used by central/state counselling boards for admission to premier institutions such as AIIMS, Jipmer, IITs, NITs, IIITs, AMU, BHU, Delhi University, Central/State funded universities/institutions and Deemed Universities. Various domains are covered including engineering (Degree, Diploma, and ITI), medical (MBBS, BDS, MD/MS, DNB, D.M./M.Ch., NBESS), architecture, pharmacy, agriculture, hotel management, etc. catering to candidates from 8th/10th pass to Postgraduates.
